Let’s Enjoy Tijuana: Great Events in November 2015

Tijuana, Mexico circa 1924. It's come a long way!

Tijuana, Mexico circa 1924. It’s come a long way!

We love being out and about, exploring our city and everything it has to offer. With its vast wealth of opportunities, Tijuana has been an amazing temporary home. But there’s nothing worse than finding out about a really cool event AFTER the fact. And so I decided to make a “list” of the various activities that are coming up throughout the area.

Sometimes, language can be a barrier. As a fluent, bilingual adult, researching fun and educational events in the border city of Tijuana, Mexico has never been a problem. I can scroll through the pages and catalogues for the science museum, the cultural center, or the culture house. But that is made possible by my command of the Spanish language. And so I thought to myself: how would someone find out about all the amazing events, activities and venues that are available in Tijuana if they did not speak Spanish?

It’s Magaly to the rescue! Well, for now anyway. You really should learn Spanish. As the fastest growing language in the United States, a world language with over 562 million speakers, and a beautiful language on its own, I highly encourage you to start the educational journey today and learn Spanish (more on this and how to achieve it is coming in another post).

So, let’s enjoy Tijuana. The following is but a sample of the events that are scheduled throughout the city, but you have to start somewhere right.

Mackenzie enjoyed the Panda film and at under 40 minutes long it might be the perfect length for some little ones. The Jerusalem film is soon going to be presented at the San Diego IMAX as well- but for more than twice the price, making it a no brainer in my opinion for a Tijuana viewing.
